Most restaurants in Mexico serve traditional food since is the first choice of the nationals and foreigners. The architecture is classic and colonial style; warm colors, gardens and terrazas inspired in antique Hacienda style with stone walls and wooden structures, fountains, old lamps, also modern style fusion. Flowers and plants are part of the decoration. There's often live
music, specially guitars and the "buffet style" display around the restaurant with tipical dishes, fruit drinks and cocktails, sauces and more that complement the colorful environment. ("piñatas", "hats", "chillis", "ponchos" and the saturation of colors in the tables and ornaments is rarely seen).

Mexican vs. Tex-Mex Interiors
The American Mexican style (Tex-mex) is stronger in the international world. It is so far, the only Mexican restaurant that the world knows. They are decorated with the classic mexican cliches; hats, ponchos, saturated colors, cactus, fruits, sun and flowers paintings.
